Šolcova mapa Èech (Šolc´s Map of Bohemia) (Šolcova zemìpisná a cestovní mapa Èech - Nepostrádatelná pro kanceláøe, turisty cestující a t.d. - Šolc´s geographical and travel map of Bohemia - essential for agencies, tourists etc.) is basic topographical map. We can find on it only little another details except seats - only watercourses, ways, railways and borders of regions. Its particularity is indeed notable, as for the seats - we can find here also a lot of small villages ihhabitated probably not even at that time by no more than several dozens of people.
It includes also bigger part of south-western Moravia, along the rest of the border it includes mostly only neighbouring territory, several kilometres wide. Beyound this it is in right upper corner (mainly sheets a7 a a8) Výklad znamení (explanatory notes) with scale (1:440.000.) and map of Liberec (1:24.000.), in left bottom corner (map sheets b1, c1 a c2) afterwards Abecední poøad mìst s okresními hejtmanstvími, s pøíslušnými soudy okresních soudù a mìsta s obyvatelstvem pøes 5000 duší. (Alphabetical list of towns with county marshal, with propriate region courts and towns with population over 5000 souls), map of Pilsen (1:29000) and Budìjovice (1:22000.); in right bottom corner (sheets c7 a c8) is Plán král.hlav.mìsta Prahy - Plan of royal capital Prague (1:20000.). Map was published by Tiskaøské a vydavatelské družstvo rolnické v Praze (printing and publishing society of peasants in Prague); when, I don´t know, I suppose, it was in the beginning od the 20th century; I have it through my great-grandfather from Pilsen. |
